Belize National Fire Service 2019

17 February, 2019 at 11:32 am

On February 4th, FRITA and the Belize National Fire Service concluded our 5th annual training deployment. Over the five days of training we delivered a program focused on Structural Collapse, Technical Rope Rescue, Emergency Medical Response, Incident Command, and Hazardous Materials Response. Our six person team had four members from British Columbia, one from Winnipeg, and one from St Johns, Newfoundland. A truly Canadian coast to coast representation on this FRITA deployment.

As always, thanks go out to our hosts at the Belize National Fire Service for all the work they put in each year, to our partners at the British Army Training Support Unit Belize (BATSUB) who continue to house all our instructors and the 25 course participants, as well as providing classroom and field work space, and to the Belize Defense Force for use of facilities for both training and exercises.
